I've been very into casual, comfortable looks lately. I've been wearing a lot of loose sweaters with simple silk blouses, skinny pants, and a cool pair of boots. Its easy, and you still look nice. I think that these models, Tilda Lindstam, Xiao Wen Ju, Daiane Conterato, and Liu Wen wear their off duty looks quite well. Like Tilda, you can pair a simple pair of overalls with a printed blouse, go for a pop of color like Xiao Wen Ju and Daiane Conterato, or add texture like Liu Wen did with her furry coat and studded boots.
Ever since The Row did a full velvet fitted suit for their Pre-Fall 2012 collection, I've been obsessed with matching sets. The way these two ladies styled fully matching velvet and sequins is quite commendable, not everyone can make those fabrics look so chic. I love the updated 60s menswear vibe the blue velvet suit has, and the dressed up yet still dressed down look of the sequin suit. The second look is also very rock n' roll, which I'm totally down for. Images both via Topshop's tumblr.
Basically, I've gotten way too many new pairs of shoes lately.
I'm totally into wearing a spruced up pair of basic black boots on a daily basis, but I also enjoy mixing in a cool shoe like the patent leather creepers on the lower left, and a pair of 60s esque low pumps in a metallic leather.
