//Ladies & Gentlemen....

In the last six months, I've pretty much found love. No, not in a relationship with one other person, but with a British rock and roll band that has changed the world in the last fifty years. This band, who everybody knows of is of course, The Rolling Stones. I often find myself obsessed with this band or that band, but I've never been able to find so much inspiration in once place, and not just from the music the band makes. This is an area of interest that I've taken and completely run with. The Stones have become my favorite thing ever, I have listened to every one of their records, watched tons of live performances, watched documentaries, am currently reading books etc on them or about them. 

I'm writing this post about them because I have found so much inspiration from them, mainly in the area of fashion. Never has a frontman had as much charisma or intensity on stage as Mick Jagger, not to mention the outfits to go along with his moves. Then there is Keith Richards, whose raggedy looks are comparable to Jagger's, but somehow Keith always had the best combination of blouses, trousers, boots, you name it. The other members of the band are not to be forgotten, though, former bassist Bill Wyman always looked buttoned up in wonderful suits, former guitarist Mick Taylor always had incredible billowy shirts, and their drummer, Charlie Watts, who has been part of the band the entire time, has always managed to keep it simple but still be perfect for the band's image. Although I don't have a photo of current Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who joined in the latter half of the band's career, Wood has that perfect British rock star image, with his perfect hair cut and ripped tank tops along with some leather. Let's not forget former Stones member Brian Jones, who unfortunately passed away in 1969. Jones always had the most flamboyant and exciting outfits, and was thought to be the band's original frontman, but apparently Jagger began to take over, and we know how that has played out. 

Anywho, I thought I'd make you these nice collages to visually explain how the Stones have inspired my wardrobe in the last little bit, and continue to do. Their image started out as very tailored, and progressively got more racy, and flashy. So there you have it, The Rolling Stones....
