So pretty much my latest obsession in shoes are the Commes Des Garçons FW09 brogues and moccasins. They first caught my eye in when I saw the Milla and Sasha editorial from Vogue Italia July 09, with the shot of Sasha sitting atop a washing machine, wearing black brogues with drawn on toes. Normally, I don't think I'd see brogues with toes drawn on, but these are just magnificent!
Then, in the same issue of Vogue Italia, there was a little feature about the shoezies of paintings and shots of a model wearing some of the looks from Fall 09, which heightened my love for the shoes even more.
My favorite are the silvery pewter colored brogues, with the red toe nail polish. So great! I'm not just in love with the shoes, but the collection itself is quite innovative.
The lines, shapes, and angles are much different than a lot of the other fall 09 collections. I also like the white moccasins, as well as red, seen in one of the runway shots in the collages.
Ah, Rei Kawakubo, you think so much differently than everyone else. I want those silver brogues like no other!
Colette has 3 different styles, and the ones I would love to own, sadly I do not have $700-$800 bucks to buy them. I'll just keep dreaming haha.
