Agyness Deyn, who has been quite off the radar for a while, appears in a King of Pop editorial in the Sept 09 issue of Harper's Bazaar, paying tribute to the late Michael Jackson's epic stage style. Agyness, looking quite androgynous here, is style by Brana Wolf, perfectly clad in sequined military jackets, the famous red leather jacket, along with studded Christian Louboutin loafers and crew socks. Terry Richardson captures Agyness as she poses in some of Jackson's signature performance looks. [1, and 2]
My take:
I really like the look of the entire editorial, the stark white background, the excellent styling, the photography, everything, and I think it was a good move for Harper's Bazaar to channel Michael's wonderful style (well it was great during the 80s) into an editorial for fall, and paying tribute to a side of him that was highly acclaimed.
